The Film: Santa RAE 1000 ISO (35mm)
The Camera: Canon EOS Rebel G (28-70mm)
The Story: During the TIFF Next Wave 48-Hour Film Challenge, co-directors Zach Litzgus & Alex Acton-Jones asked me to join their crew and take behind-the-scenes photos for them over the course of their single day shoot. With the team working under a strict time limit, my goal was to capture the guerrilla-style nature of the shoot. Intentionally using an older roll of film with imperfections, you can feel the rushed and chaotic nature of the production as they shot on the sidewalk of an extremely busy overpass. The short film, OVERPASS, ultimately went on to be runner-up of the TIFF Next Wave Challenge in 2022.
